dosv:
The Commotion Over V
His trademark masks being sold/worn everywhere. The mask representing revolutions. As a matter of fact, “commotion” is an understatement. It’s turned into an annoying irrational obsession.
How can someone base his/her whole system of belief and ideology on a movie* character? In the so called “hallmark movie, V for Vendetta”
Vendetta: a continuing state of conflict between two groups within a society (typically kinship groups) characterized by violence, usually killings and counterkillings. It exists in many nonliterate communities in which there is an absence of law or a breakdown of legal procedures and in which attempts to redress a grievance in a way that is acceptable to both parties have failed.
Please mark the word NON LITERATE.
I’m aware that most people already know the meaning of vendetta. I’m just at loss as to why they’d want to be attributed to such a negative connotation. To go as far as to idolize it?
Vengeance is violent, and violence is always wrong.
V is overrated.
*Don’t try and act smart, I know he was first a comic book.
